Q. Where are my memos stored?

Masky is an offline-first app. All your notes are stored locally on your device's secure storage, not on a server. Please note that deleting the app will remove all data, so be sure to back up important content.

Q. I forgot my PIN. Can I recover it?

For security reasons, Masky does not store your PIN on any server. If you forget your PIN, there is no way to recover it. You will need to reinstall the app, which will result in the loss of your existing data.

Q. How do I backup and restore my data?

You can create an encrypted backup file using the 'Export Data' option in the Settings menu. To restore your data on a new device or after a reinstallation, use the 'Import Data' option and select your backup file.

Q. What is Disguise Mode?

Disguise Mode is a privacy feature that protects your notes by covering the app screen or making the content appear complex and unreadable to others. In the settings, you can choose an image overlay to hide your screen or enable options to obscure memo text for added security.
